So, sadly I was unable to attend the Lisa Hannigan show at the Troubadour last Saturday (even though I already had tickets) because I had to jet out of town for a family emergency. Luckily though, in the age of YouTube, almost every one of the songs she performed that night has been posted by a lovely soul by the moniker “chaoscollides.” A friend of mine was able to go though and said it was an incredible show and that the acoustics in the Troubadour were fantastic.
If anybody else out there was at the show I’d love to hear what you thought. Because I promised a review of the show and now cannot give one, I decided the next best thing would be to post a video from the show. I chose the cover Lisa did of Iron and Wine’s “Free Until They Cut Me Down” because my friend at the show said it was the best performance of the night.
